The Nuovo Molino di Assisi is the “mother” of the Grigi family companies, originating in 1977 from the current Luciano and Marco Grigi property, it has sustained the farmers’ market to date.

In early 2000 the current management, attentive to market trends and sensitive to technological innovations, decided to introduce a cereal flaking system, one of the most modern ones in Italy.

The current product range, “Fiocchi di neve” (“Snowflakes”), is the synthesis of the company philosophy: genuineness, naturalness and health. The GMO-free, Organic or conventional raw materials, cereals and legumes, come mainly from central Italy and are subject to specific analysis and tests, from when they are harvested in the field, and for all processing stages. The end result is a product of the highest quality, nutritious, balanced and respectful of the ancient relationship with nature from which it comes.

In 2009 the company chose to add yet another element to its production capacity, building a new pelleting plant, state-of-the-art in the animal feed sector because it is equipped with a ripener (cereal cooking and sterilisation process before dicing). In 2010 the new integrated Bulk load facility was built, which works completely via optical fiber and loading robot.

It deals mainly with the Grigi industrial sector, therefore production, processing, and feed marketing. Capable of renewal throughout the years to meet market needs, in 2010 it was among the UMBRIAN EXCELLENCES of Italy.
