Giovanni and Giuseppe Grigi’s 3 G Fodder Mill was founded in 1952 in Bastia Umbra, a town with ancient origins and rural traditions, nowadays an active agricultural, industrial and commercial centre.

The Fifties marked a radical change in the "breeding and production animals" sector, going from a family run farm, typical of the local peasant culture, to intensive livestock farming, based on modern techniques of animal husbandry.

The 3 G Fodder Mill will make this transition a strength, becoming a reference for farmers and at the same time maturing extensive experience and industry expertise, thus reaching high quality standards and competitiveness. In 1977 the Company, by now consolidated in its market, becomes “Nuovo Molino di Assisi” (“New Mill of Assisi”).

In early 2000 the current management, attentive to market trends and sensitive to technological innovations, decided to introduce a cereal flaking system, one of the most modern ones in Italy.

The current product range, “Fiocchi di neve” (“Snowflakes”), is the synthesis of the company philosophy: genuineness, naturalness and health.

The GMO-free, Organic or conventional raw materials, cereals and legumes, come mainly from central Italy and are subject to specific analysis and tests, from when they are harvested in the field, and for all processing stages. The end result is a product of the highest quality, nutritious, balanced and respectful of the ancient relationship with nature from which it comes.

In 2009 the company chose to add yet another element to its production capacity, building a new pelleting plant, state-of-the-art in the animal feed sector because it is equipped with a ripener (cereal cooking and sterilisation process before dicing). In 2010 the new integrated Bulk load facility was built, which works completely via optical fiber and loading robot.
